Project Title: Abba Gebremichael support programme for children living in difficult situations in Mekelle, Tigray regional state.
Subject: - Purchase of Vehicle
The Daughters of Charity (DoC) is a non-profit organization operating in the Tigray region under the Ethiopian Catholic Church - Social and Development Commission of the Adigrat Branch, registered under the Charities and Societies law with registration number 0756. Since 1973, the DoC has been implementing various projects and programs to support vulnerable communities in the region. To expand its services to the poor, the organization established three additional service bases: in Alitena (Irob District) in 1974, in Mekelle in 1985, and in Maichew in 2005. Currently, the Daughters of Charity-Tigray administers six key programs in Education, School Feeding, Health & Nutrition, Protection, Livelihoods, and Humanitarian assistance, operating across the Eastern, Central, Southeastern, and Southern Zones, including the Mekelle city administration.
DoC is dedicated to safe Procurement and programming. Thus, DoC has a zero- tolerance policy on misconduct with the aims and objectives of the organization, including theft, fraud, corruption or abuse of power/authority, sexual harassment (SH), sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA), and discrimination. DoC also adheres to strict safeguarding principles and core humanitarian standards. Therefore, all selected suppliers will be expected to adhere to these standards and principles.
Now, DoC desires to purchase one electrical new city car based on the attached TOR Our selection criteria is total highest result of 65% technical and 35% financial evaluation and eligible biders shoul follow the following instration to bidders.
1. Bid document can be taken by eligible bidders upon nonpayment from: Daughters of Charity coordinating office, 1th floor, subcity of Adihaki behind Adihaki eye clinic or from ECC- SDCO Head Office Adiss Abeba Arada subcity Wereda 1 house number 374 in front of Catedral school
2. Bidders must obtain renewed valid trading license for vehicle import or sales
3. Any supportining document indicating its relation with manufacturer should be attached.
4. Bidders should have and attach Renewed trade license, renewed Suppliers certificate, TIN number and VAT registration certificate.
5. Bidder should submit VAT declaration for the month of March 2025
6. Bidder Should attach Valid Tax Clearance for the vehicle
7. Warranty certificate should be attached
8. The bidders cannot alter, amend or withdraw offers after tender is closed
9. Bidders should submit offers price as per the attached request for quotation in the TOR
10. Bidders should submit Bid security of 100,000 birr (Birr one hundred thousand)
11. The Bid security should be delivered with the technical bid document or can be presented during the bid opening time.
12. Bidder should aware that before conducting an agreement due diligence is going to be conducted on the overall capability of the supplier.
13. The supplier should deliver the vehicles within 20 Calander days after signing of agreement.
14. The supplier should deliver the vehicles to DoC coordinating office with their Own transport
15. The bidder must submit both technical and financial documents in separate sealed and stamped envelopes, providing one original and one copy of each document to the address Mekelle Daughters of Charity coordinating office subcity of Adihaki behind Adihaki eye clinic in the prepared tender box, from May 14,2025 up to May 26/2025.
16. Bid closing date is May 26 /2025 at 8:30 local time
17. Late bids will be rejected (Bids submitted after the deadline of bid clothing will not be considered) And Bids will be opened physically on May 26/2025 at 9:30 local time Preferably in the presence of the bidders or representatives who choose to attend in person at the address above.
18. Bids must be submitted in English language
19. Electronic bids are not allowed
20. Points mentioned in the TOR are all part of this announcement of bid.
21. The Daughters of charity coordinating office reserves the right to reject partially or fully cancel or reject any or all of the bids.
