Capacity Building Training for Aksum University Researchers

Title of the Training: Advancing Research Excellence: Integrated Training on Digitalized Data, Proposal Development, External Grant Writing, and Manuscript Publication

Call for trainers

The Research, Publication, Ethics, and Dissemination Directorate (RPEDD) of Aksum University is committed to advancing the research excellence of its academic staff and research scholars. To this end, the Directorate has designed a comprehensive workshop series aimed at enhancing institutional research capacity. The primary goal of this initiative is to provide researchers with the platforms and skills necessary to expand their professional networks and strengthen their ability to disseminate high-impact findings to both national and international audiences. Accordingly, the RPEDD is seeking applications from highly qualified experts and scientists to give training in the specialized modules listed below. Eligible applicants with a proven track record are invited to apply for one o more of the following courses:

âś“ Module I: Advanced Research Proposal Development and Data Analysis

âś“ Module II: Manuscript Development and Scholarly Publication

âś“ Module III: Competitive Research Grant Writing and Management

âś“ Module IV: Digital Questionnaire Design and Data Management

General objective

Capacity building on Advancing Research Excellence: Integrated Training on Digitalized

Data, Proposal Development, External Grant Writing, and Manuscript Publication for Aksum University academic staff through structured and practical training programs.

Trainer requirements & qualifications

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

Scientific Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of experience in scientific research.

Communication: Experience interacting with policymakers at local, national, or regional levels. Instructional Experience: Previous experience delivering interactive workshops or training sessions is highly advantageous.

Documentation: Applicants must submit a current Curriculum Vitae (CV) and testimonial certificates documenting previous experience as a trainer and other necessary documents. Remuneration: Payment will be processed according to the official directives of the FDRE Ministry of Finance.
