Contract Title: Supply of Automatic Water Meter Test Bench

1. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received from the International Development Association toward the cost of Second Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Credit to payments under the Contract for procurement of Automatic Water Meter Test Bench. 

2. The Mekelle Water Supply and Sewerage Services Office now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Supply of One Set of (DN1 5 up to DN50) Automatic Water Meter Test Bench. 

3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (REFERENCE) procedures as specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers, and is open to all bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank's policy on conflict of interest. 

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Mekelle City Water supply and Sewerage Service;[email protected] and inspect the bidding documents during office hours Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 12:30 pm Morning & 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm afternoon at the address given below paragraph 8. 

5. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of ETB 200.00 (Two Hundred Birr) or equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. The method of payment will be directly to Mekelle City Water supply and Sewerage Service office  Finance Department. The document will be sent with the agreement of the World Bank, documents may be distributed by e-mail in addition to the hardcopy on the submission of written application to the address below and up on payment of a nonrefundable fee starting from the first announcement of this notice on The Ethiopian Herald in office hours until closing date and time as specified in Paragraph 8. 

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 19-October-18@ 10:00 A.M.Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders' designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below at 19-October -18, 10:30 A.M. 

7.  All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Br. 150,000.00 (One Hundred Fifty Thousand ETB) or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
