INVITATION TO BID for Transportation of food commodities

Ethiopian Catholic Church-Social and Development Commission Adigrat Branch (ECC-SDCOAdB) (Joint Emergency Operation (JEOP) project) is seeking bids for transportation of food commodities, from final distribution point warehouse (FDP) to five weredas of Tigray region Eastern & Central zones. For the month of February,2026 food commodities distribution to beneficiary from 1. Adigrat diocesan catholic secretart ware house to wereda Irob satellite distribution points (Endamosa, Harcze-sebata & Dawhan) and to wereda Zalambesa- town & From 2.Central Zone weredas Endabatsahma/Edagaarbi to Edagahamus & Arena satellite distribution point, wereda, Maykinetal/Endafelasi to Mackel. segli satellite distribution point (SDP) and wereda Embaseneyti/Nebelet to Adihedom satellite distribution point(SDP). Therefore, any eligible, qualified and interested relevant service provider fulfilling the following minimum criteria should get bid document from ECC-SDCOAdB Adigrat main office Procurement Section from 09/03/2026 to 12/03/2026 G.C up on payment of none re-fundable Birr 200.00 during working hours of the Office.

1. The bidders shall quote transportation rate per quintal for each satellite Distribution Point transportation price with loading &off loading

2. The exact quantities to be transported are not known at the time of tendering and will be communicated later based on instruction of Catholic Relief Service (CRS) agreement between client and service provider bid winner.

3. The interested eligible service provider shall present renewed legible and relevant license for 2018/2019 E.C. registration certificate issued from relevant government office, VAT registration certificate and Tax Identification Number (TIN) legal invoice (QR cash sales invoice).

4. The success full bidder must sign the service agreement within 1 working days after notification of awards.

5. Each bidder will submit only one bid. A bidder that submits bid document more than once either himself/herself or as a partner in a joint venture will be automatically disqualified from the bid competition.

6. Any bid, submitted with incorrect information will be liable for rejection and the bidder may be prohibited from participation in the future other tendering processes.

7. An electronic bidding system /online bidding/ is not an option and will not be allowed for this particular procurement process.

8. Once the Bid submitted in sealed cover by the bidder, the office will not accept any addition /alterations/ deletions of the Bid.

9. The price quoted shall be filled in Ethiopian Birr including taxes, transportation costs, loading unloading and other related costs.

10. The bidder shall bear all costs associated with the preparation and submission of his/her bid. ECC SDCOAdB will in no single case, be responsible or liable for those costs regardless of the conduct or outcome of the bidding process.

11. The bid winner should transport the food commodities in good condition in scheduled time planned to each satellite distribution point.

12. Bids must be submitted on 12/03/2026 G.C between 9:30-10:00 Am (morning 3:30-4:00 local time) only to the prepared bid box in ECC-SDCOAdB main office in Adigrat. Late bids after the deadline will be rejected and returned unopened to the bidder

13. The Bid will be officially closed on 12/03/2026 G.C at 10:01 Am (L.T 4:01) in the presence of interested bidders o their representatives who choose to attend and ECC-SDCOAdB concerned committee.

14. Bids will be opened on 12/03/2026 G.C at 10:30 Am (4:30 local time) in venue of ECC-SDCOAdB Hall in th presence of interested bidders or their representatives and ECC-SDCOAdB concerned committee.

15. ECC-SDCOAdB reserves the right to reject partially and/or completely this bid at any level of bid processing Another better alternative is available.
