CONTRACT TITLE: Procurement for the Construction of Anaerobic Baffle Reactor (ABR) for Condominium House for Mekelle Town

1. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Second Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Project (UWSSPII), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Construction of Anaerobic Baffle Reactor (ABR) for 10 Condominiums. House for Mekelle City.

2. The Mekelle Water Supply and Sewerage Service office now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Construction of an Anaerobic Baffle Reactor (ABR) for 10 Condominiums House for Mekelle City.

3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank's Guidelines Procurement of Goods Works and Non- Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers of January 2011 Revised July 2014 ("Procurement Guidelines"), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank's policy on conflict of interest.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Mekelle City Water Supply and Sewerage Service office: Telephone number 251-914-72-4801 and inspect the bidding documents during office hours Monday to Thursday 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM Morning and Friday 8:30 to 11:50 AM Morning & 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM afternoon at the address given below

5. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 1000 (one Thousand ETB) or in a convertible currency. The method of payment will be in cash against receipt. The document will be sent by the representative of the bidder. Local bidders are required to attach with their application a copy of their renewed trade licenses. VAT certificate & Tax identification number certificate.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 10:00 A.M on January 9, 2025 Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidder's designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below at 10:30 AM on January 9, 2025.

7. All bids must be accompanied by a "Bid Security "of ETB 150,000.00 (One Hundred Fifty Thousand Birr).
