Invitation to Bid for Audit Services

Rise and Shine Women Empowerment Center is a local non-governmental organization registered in the Tigray region of Ethiopia. It was founded in May, 2023 by two visionary women with the mission to promote gender equality and enhance the economic, social, political, and legal empowerment of women and girls. The center advocates for and works towards addressing gender-based violence, challenging gender stereotypes, and engaging men and boys in these efforts..

Rise and Shine Women Empowerment Center is planning to be registered nationally under the Authority for Civil Society Organizations and is required by the Bureau of Justice to handover an audit report of its financial statements. Hence, it is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced auditing firms to provide audit services for the last nine months 2023/2024. The selected auditor will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive audit of our financial statements and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Scope of Work:

The scope of the audit will include a thorough examination of our financial records, transactions, and internal controls. The auditor will review the balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, and notes to the financial statements, and assess our compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and donor requirements.

Proposal Submission:

Interested auditing firms are invited to submit their proposals, including a detailed methodology, timeline, and cost estimate, by February 15th, 2014. Proposals should also include information on relevant experience, qualifications, and references from previous clients.

Evaluation Criteria:

Proposals will be evaluated based on the firm's experience, qualifications, proposed methodology, cost, and references. The selected auditor will be required to demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence and a track record of providing high-quality audit services to non-profit organizations.

Timeline:

The audit is expected to commence shortly after the selection of the auditor and should be completed by March 1st, 2024.
