Ethiopian Catholic Church-Social and Development Commission Adigrat Branch (ECC-SDCOAdB), in partnership with UNICEF-MCF, is seeking bids for vehicle rental and require two (2) hardtop and three (3) double-cabin vehicles to support "Unlocking the Potential of Ethiopia's Conflict-Affected Youth in Tigray" project. Therefore, any eligible and qualified car rental firm/bidder fulfilling the following minimum criteria should get bid document from ECC - SDCOADB Adigrat main office Procurement Section from 19/08/2025 to 29/08/2025 G.C up on payment of none re-fundable Birr 100.00 during working hours of the Office. a. The interested car rental service provider shall present relevant business license renewed for 2017/2018 E.C, registered and certified for car rental service, registration certificates issued from relevant government office, VAT registration certificate and Tax Identification Number (TIN).
b. The bidder should secure a bid bond only through CPO 2% from recognized bank for the Cumulative bid value including VAT. Pledging cash or other assets as a bid bond not allowed.
c. A rental vehicle provider must ensure the vehicles are in excellent physical conditions, should have a manufacturing year of 2018 and have no more than 140,000 km maximum mileage & also pledges to work under difficult road circumstances.
d. In an event that a vehicle breaks down /found faulty or out of service during travelling, the vehicle rental company will arrange for its immediate replacement without delays.
e. Each bidder will submit only one bid. A bidder that submits bid document more than once either himself/herself or as a partner in a joint venture will be automatically disqualified from the bid competition.
f. Any bid, submitted with incorrect information will be liable for rejection and the bidder may be prohibited from participation in the future other tendering processes.
g. Once the Bid submitted in sealed cover by the bidder, the office will not accept any addition /alterations/ deletions of the Bid.
h. The price quoted shail be filled in Ethiopian Birr including taxes, car maintenance costs, fuel, driver's alary & allowances, and other related costs. ECC-SDCOAdB will pay the agreed car rental price only.
i. The bidder shall bear all costs associated with the preparation and submission of his/her bid. ECC-SDCOADB will in no single case, be responsible or liable for those costs regardless of the conduct or outcome of the bidding process.
j. Bids must be submitted on 27/08/2025G.C between 9:30-10:00 Am (morning 3:30-4:00 local time) only to the prepared bid box in ECC-SDCOAdB main office in Adigrat.
k. The Bid will be officially closed on 27/08/2025G.C at 10:01Am (L.T 4:01) in the presence of interested bidders or their representatives who choose to attend and ECC-SDCOADB concerned committee.
1. Bids will be opened on 27/08/2025G.C at 10:30 Am (4:30 local time) in venue of ECC-SDCOADB Hall in the presence of interested bidders or their representatives and ECC-SDCOAdB concerned committee.
m. ECC-SDCOAdB reserves the right to reject partially and/or completely this bid at any level of bid processing if another better alternative is available.
