Subject: Invitation to Bid – Supply of Appropriate Learning Materials

Special Educational Needs in Ethiopia (SENEthiopia), a national CSO working to promote disability inclusion through education and development initiatives, hereby invites eligible and qualified bidders to submit sealed bids for the Supply and Delivery of Appropriate Learning Materials.

Scope of Bid

The procurement includes, but is not limited to, the following items:

  • Braille Paper (A4, 120–160 gsm, high emboss durability)
  • Braille Slate & Stylus (portable, durable, ergonomic design)
  • Talking Calculators (voice output, tactile keypad, energy-saving features)
  • Ethiopian Sign Language Book (latest edition, bilingual Amharic & English, illustrated)

Bid Requirements

Interested bidders must submit bids accompanied by the following documents:

  • Renewed licence of Medical Equipment and Pharmaceutical
  • FDA (Food and Drug Authorization) licence
  • VAT Registration Certificate and VAT Declaration
  • Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)
  • Supplier’s Certificate
  • Bid Security of 2% of the bid amount in the form of CPO

Submission Deadline

  • Bids must be delivered in hard copy to SENEthiopia, Mekelle – Adi-Haky Sub-City, Kebelle Hdase, on or before June 23, 2026, at 9:00 PM.
  • Electronic submissions will not be accepted.
  • Late bids will be rejected.

Bid Opening

Bids will be publicly opened at the same address on June 23, 2026, at 9:30 PM in the presence of bidders or their representatives who wish to attend.

SENEthiopia reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to annul the bidding process at any time prior to contract award without obligation to inform bidders of the grounds for its decision.
